Top 10 FAQ about your boudoir experience

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of the most common ones to give you some insight on preparing for a session with me!

Do I have to wear lingerie?

Absolutely not! This experience is about capturing who YOU are! If lingerie isn’t your jam, then let’s brose your closet and see what feels most like you!

Checkout this blog post to see our favorite outfit suggestions that are outside of the box for your session!

where should I buy my outfits?

You’ll get an email from me with my favorite places to shop for lingerie for your boudoir session once you book your session. Over the years I’ve made a list of some of my favorite options. Feel free to check out our booking guide for a sneak peek of that list! I also have a studio wardrobe that you’re welcome to use for your session!

How many outfits should I bring?

Bring as many outfits as you’d like! We will go over them together to figure out what works best for you. The number of outfits you’ll get will depend on your advanced purchase.

Are hair and makeup included

Professional hair and makeup is included with all of our sessions (unless otherwise noted) as a gift to you. At Taylor Raine boudoir, we strive to make this the best possible experience for you which means getting pampered by our talented hair and makeup team! Our artists strive to make you feel and look your best, so you glow in front of the camera. We love a good glam look but if you’re a more natural girly, we’ve got you covered!

Do you offer payment plans?

I do! I understand that this experience is an investment and I want this to be accessible for you. We have awesome pre payment plan options that allow you to split your payments up before your session, and you get bonuses added onto your experience for no additional cost, it’s kind of a no brainer! We’ll go over this during your pre session consultation where we’ll plan your experience and figure out what works best for you! We also offer financing options through synchrony and paypal, you can find more information about that here.

Do you share my images?

Your privacy is my #1 priority. I understand that not everyone can or wants to share their images online because of jobs, nosy family members, or certain beliefs. I will never share your images without your permission. All clients will receive a photo permission slip upon booking to decide how they would like their images to be shared.

do you photoshop my images?

When we look at your images for the first time the day of your experience, you’ll see edited but unretouched photos. We do something called the two week rule, anything that won’t be here in two weeks is gone-pimples, bruises and those dreaded under eye bags. If you’re looking for a photographer who will erase 10 years and 10 pounds from your photos, I’m probably not the gal for you. My goal as your photographer is to allow you to see yourself and accept the body you have right now, belly rolls, cellulite, and all (albeit a bit softened!) This experience is all about doing the brave things without being held back by your body.

What types of products do you offer?

Our luxury, handcrafted albums and metal wall art are our most popular options for displaying your artwork! All printed products come with corresponding digital images, meaning you get the same images that are in your album as social media digital copies.

Should I get to my shoot early?

Try to get to the studio 10-15 minutes early so we can talk about your outfits and colors and make a plan for your hair and makeup.

And the most common question I get asked…

I'm nervous, how can I calm my nerves?!

It’s totally normal to be a little nervous before your experience! I hear this all of the time from clients before they come in, and they always leave saying how comfortable they felt during the entire process. I have a few tricks up my sleeve for how to help you feel totally at ease while you’re here.
